Depth across four disciplines
Process engineering, environment and climate, strategy, and digital — each held by a named principal rather than listed on a capability slide. When a project crosses two of them, the two people talk to each other directly.
Experience older than the firm
Ecoworks was registered in 2018. The work behind it is considerably older: twenty-five years of climate advisory across three continents, more than two decades of that with the World Bank, and a peer-reviewed paper on process integration published in 2000.
A research partner in the UK
Advanced Process Integration Limited, built around the Centre for Process Integration at the University of Manchester, where pinch analysis was developed. Heat integration work that needs more depth than four people can supply goes to them.
Clear engagement models
Fixed price where scope, outcome and success metrics are settled at the outset. Managed co-development where they are not, because a number invented at that stage only gets renegotiated later. Sustainability work runs turnkey or by phase.
Environment work as its own practice
Nine engagement types across South Asia, East Asia and Africa, commissioned by governments, multilateral banks and industry. A standing practice with its own clients, not a values statement appended to an engineering firm.
